NATO Testing Rinicom Developed Technology

Rinicom Ltd, a leading provider of wireless broadband mesh communications and surveillance systems, announced NATO IST-118 interest for its rapid-deployable wireless communications system.

A task group from NATO visited Rinicom Ltd earlier this month in order to conduct experiments on information exchange over heterogeneous tactical networks where the company technology is applied to demonstrate the capability of next generation mobile networks.

The technology developed by Rinicom in 2011 was originally designed for use in first-response settings, such as disaster relief efforts. The PodNode uses robust broadband communications technologies that securely connect devices and computers allowing them to exchange information and multimedia content. The tests took place at Lancaster University Infolab21’s facilities and the results will be presented at the 2015 International Conference for Military Communications in America, which will open new opportunities for collaboration with leading European and North partners.

Rinicom’s CEO, Garik Markarian, stated: “Since the introduction of the PodNode technology designed by Rinicom, we have had significant interest from a broad range of potential users. We are pleased that our research work is acknowledged by NATO IST-118 and this week’s meeting cements Rinicom’s reputation as a leading provider for wireless broadband communications systems”.
